Miller's Toast Cranberry & Raisin — a twice-baked British toast made with buttermilk, wheat flour, dried cranberries (25%), pumpkin seeds, raisins, brown sugar, honey and olive oil. This is the sweetest of the Miller's range — the cranberry and raisin give it a pronounced fruited character, the honey and brown sugar add warmth, and the pumpkin seeds provide crunch. It is more of a sweet cracker than a neutral one, and it works best where that sweetness is useful: alongside blues, aged hard cheeses, and goat's cheeses where the fruit-and-cheese combination is the point.
The toasts are thin, crisp and golden, with visible pieces of cranberry and raisin throughout. The texture holds up well under soft cheese — firm enough to spread onto, light enough not to overpower what sits on top. A 90g box contains a reasonable number of toasts — they are thin and light.
