In 1992, brothers Richard and Stephane Martin took control of their family estate from their father and made changes to benefit their wines in the long run. Their first priority was to convert their vineyards to organic practices. They then extended their operation to experiment with an increased variety of terroirs. They grew the domaine from 6.5 to 25 hectares, enabling them to be far more selective with the fruit used in the final winemaking process. These changes have undoubtedly proved highly successful in ensuring that the wines of Domaine de la Croix Senaillet are increasing in quality year on year.
