Grape: Merlot Blanc, Sauvignon Gris

Tasting: Stone fruit / Citrus / Floral / Herbal / Mineral / Medium Body / Crisp Finish

Pairing: White Fish with Butter Sauces / Poached Chicken Dishes with Vegetables / Goat's Cheese / Mushroom Pasta (butter) / Lobster Frites

Producer: Château Daugay sits at the foot of the southern and southwestern slopes of Saint-Émilion, taking its name from the geai, or jay, whose distinctive cry echoes through the surrounding forests. Acquired by Christian de Brouard after World War II, the estate became part of the legendary Château Angélus before separating in 1985 with the new Saint-Émilion classification. In 2006, Christian's daughter Hélène took over management, continuing the family's traditional winemaking methods across eight hectares of vines.

Le Pica represents an exciting white wine project, showcasing the rare Merlot Blanc and Sauvignon Gris grown on the estate's distinctive clay-limestone soils. The 2023 vintage offers wonderful freshness and aromatic complexity.
